We know through brain research now about the remarkable effects of meditation. Doing Nothing: Dance of Stillness, brings dance and meditation together as a powerful therapeutic practice.

Doing Nothing: Dance of Stillness is form of dance improvisation mobilizing creative expression and exchange of energy. We practice and learn to move in ways that are authentic and in the process become more aware of how we feel and experience life.

In each session you will be guided from a meditative place with attention to breath, sensation, and emotion and towards authentic expression.  As we learn to listen more deeply to your inner prompts and sensations and gain more insight and awareness the soul and heart opens with delight of being present in the healing wisdom of dance. Introduction to the Enneagram: Finding the Authentic Self

Introduction to the Enneagram: Finding the Authentic Self

Cost: $25
Contact:  AdeleSomma@gmail.com

The Enneagram is most commonly known as a way of exploring our personality, and for being a useful tool in identifying our individual strengths, weaknesses, and behavioral patterns. While this interpretation alone can be a powerful force in personal development, the Enneagram's true purpose is to wake us up to who we really are by showing us who we are not, but have long taken ourselves to be. Such understanding can act as a profound gateway to compassion and forgiveness for both self and others. In this introductory workshop, we will review the nine different "types" of the Enneagram. Participants will not only discover their own type, but will also gain insight into the people closest to them. Experential exercises and group discussions will be used to engage with the "essence" of particular types. We will explore how the different types specifically practice self-sabotage, as well as the wisdom and gifts uniquely inherent in each.

Adele Regina Somma is a licensed professional counselor, writer and student of the Enneagram for over fifteen years. During that time, she has intensely studied and attended multiple trainings that have helped her to integrate this material and share it meaningfully. She has direct experience of the Enneagram as a crucial instrument in her own path of healing as well as observed it accelerate self-awareness and acceptance for many others.

Radical Wholeness

Saturday, November 17, 11:30-6:30pm
Sunday, November 18, 10-5pm
Cost: $315

Registration and more info: https://philipshepherd.com/event/radical-wholeness-weekend-workshop-philadelphia-pa/

Our deepest yearning is to experience wholeness in our lives – yet too often we feel scattered and off balance. The main source of our fragmentation is that we have been taught to live in our heads. Divided from the breath, the present, and the profound intelligence of the body, we sit in our heads and strain to make sense of it all. This workshop shows you another way of making sense, and helps you experience the body as you never have before. The cornerstone of The Embodied Present Process, this playful weekend provides you with new skills to last a lifetime.

Philip Shepherd has gained an international reputation as a teacher whose breadth of vision and original exercises enable people to escape the enclosed chatter of the head, and ground their thinking in the calm, deep-dwelling intelligence of the body.  His workshop provides tools to last a lifetime, even as it gently opens the door to a radical experience of wholeness.

Into the Mystery: A Shamanic Journey into the Subconscious

Friday: 7-9:30pm, Saturday: 12-6pm
Cost: Friday only: $49, Saturday only: $150, Friday & Saturday together: $199
Contact: Liz Siedel at lizseidel.com

Our disconnection and perceived separation from the natural world is leading us to destroy ourselves. By misperceiving the nature of existence we’ve lost touch with our hearts and ability to see our own reflection.
To heal ourselves and our world, we must be connected to nature.

How? By experiencing living energy. In the Andean mystical tradition, everything is living energy. There is no separation. Once you experience it, you no longer feel disconnected.  You feel a sense of belonging you’ve never felt before. Like the mystics say—experience matters—it’s what allows one to believe in the “unbelievable.”

Join us for this experiential shamanic class, an alchemical journey of healing and shifting our perceptions. We’ll work with Amaru, the great snake and the oldest symbol of rebirth, regeneration, initiation and wisdom on the planet. When her eyes cloud over, she transforms as she sheds her skin, leaving her old self behind. In the Andean Mystical Tradition, Amaru is the symbol of the interior world—the Ukhu Pacha—our subconscious. We’ll enter this realm for healing and she will be our guide. Read More
