Moon & Thunder Mother Daughter Monthly Events: Cool Earth, Seeds and Taking Root

March - the season of hard ground and crunchy leaves. March is a reminder to let-go of impatience, while we wait to plant seeds and play outdoors. Patience is more than a virtue. It’s one of the most difficult things to learn. Especially in a world where everything we want to know and learn is at the tip of our fingertips at all times. Let’s rewind into patience. Breathe into the brown tones. Root, so you can sprout with a clear mind and healthy heart when the warmth of the sun returns. Painting to music, planting seeds, you will leave with a reminder of color and what is to come.

Single events are $17.50 + $5 supplies fee per person. The total for mother and daughter is $45. More than one child + $12. These are limited space events. You must register.  MoonandThunder.com

Our society has taught us to put a lot of emphasis on the cognitive mind, so the purpose of this gathering is to learn how to listen and respond to the many other parts of ourselves: the dreamer, the spirit, the body, the creative process.

Holding Space is about creating a nurturing relationship to the self by the practice of listening, nurturing and tending to yourself.
You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you choose to have padding. The floor is also delicious to play on and we have plenty of mats, blankets and bolsters.
Also bring a journal to help you reflect and remember your process.

Led by somatic psychologist, Jodi Schwartz-Levy.

Using Imagery to Enhance Rest & Work: Weaver's Way FREE Workshop

Using Imagery to Enhance Rest & Work: Weaver's Way FREE Workshop

A lesser known fact, borrowed from dancers and elite athletes, is how we can enhance performance of any task by engaging an imaginal component to whatever action we are doing.  In this workshop we will learn about different types of imagery, their uses, and identify which sensory modalities are most prominent in our imaginal realm.  We will then practice the Constructive Rest Position as originally detailed with the imagery of dance choreographer, Lulu Sweigard, to foster a deep state of relaxation.

When we give our bodies a chance to return to their natural posture and our minds a chance to unwind (especially during the busy Holiday season), we can restore moments of stillness.  Done on your own, this nourishing practice offers a gateway into any activity requiring special attention, or is perhaps confounding your best attempts at a solution. While there are many ways to experience stillness, the use of creative imagery is an amazing tool for integrating cranial intelligence with intuitive wisdom. All sorts of possibilities come alive when we are cleared to learn and work in top form.

Mother / Daughter Monthly Workshop: Autumn, Our Light in the Dark

Moon and Thunder Monthly Mother and Daughter Events!

Mothers connect with daughters (between the ages of 8-14-years-old) during Moon and Thunder's monthly gatherings. Feed the spirit, connect by heart, and care for the body and mind.

Following our Mother and Daughter Open House, a Mother writes - "I just wanted to thank you. Today was a gift. We've been struggling to have positive interactions and today was the sweetest for us. It was really special." - H. E.

Sunday, October 29 - 5:00-6:30 Autumn, Our Light in the Dark
Seasons help guide us. As daylight tapers, darkness allows for an opportunity to draw inward. We find ways to warm ourselves with comfy clothing and food. Come and learn to kindle and sustain your inner glow. Mothers and daughters take part in peaceful, guided meditation, craft a glass lantern, sip warm cider and enjoy cider donuts from Solebury Orchards.

Single events are $35 + $10 supplies fee. The total for mother and daughter is $45. More than one child, + $12. These are limited space events. You must register. Payment is due at time of registration, or up to 2 weeks prior to event date. Cancellation up to one-week prior, you may use the fee towards a future event.

Registration for Mother and Daughter Events is Open.  You must register in advance for Mother and Daughter events. It's important to have an accurate headcount for supplies and materials needed. Space is lovingly limited. Thank you! Learn More at www.MoonandThunder.com.

Holding Space: A Movement Exploration

This class is about holding space for your body, your spirit and your healing. While Jodi Schwartz-Levy will be holding space with guidance, music, intention, safety, and the like, the idea of holding space is meant for you to internalize, so you can hold healing space for yourself.

The second class will be on 10/10/17 6-7:30pm.
One workshop is $25 or 2 for $40.
