This class is about holding space for your body, your spirit and your healing. While Jodi Schwartz-Levy will be holding space with guidance, music, intention, safety, and the like, the idea of holding space is meant for you to internalize, so you can hold healing space for yourself. Our society has taught us to put a lot of emphasis on the cognitive mind, so the purpose of this gathering is to learn how to listen and respond to the many other parts of ourselves: the dreamer, the spirit, the body, the creative process.
Holding Space is about creating a nurturing relationship to the self by the practice of listening, nurturing and tending to yourself.
You are welcome to bring your own yoga mat if you choose to have padding. The floor is also delicious to play on and we have plenty of mats, blankets and bolsters.
Also bring a journal to help you reflect and remember your process.
