Amy Tuttle, RD, LCSW has spent the last 25 years making amends for being one of those preachy good food/bad food dietitians who tells people how to lose weight. She developed Nourishing Aliveness® mindfulness-based no-diet programs to enhance health, create community, and generate joy-fullness. As a mindfulness meditation teacher, eating disorder specialist, Health at Every Size®/no-diet proponent, and Self-Care Collaborator, she helps people recover from dieting and emotional eating, repair body despair, restore self-body trust, retain and enhance health and well-being, and rediscover what matters most.

Education and Experience
Amy received a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition from Syracuse University and a Master of Social Service from Bryn Mawr College. She acquired mindfulness meditation teacher training through the Teacher Practicums in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction at the University of Massachusetts Medical School Center for Mindfulness (in conjunction with Omega Institute) and Thomas Jefferson University Hospital Mryna Brind Center of Integrative Medicine Mindfulness Institute in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Amy provided program development at the Philadelphia Renfrew Center (for eating disorder treatment)where she served as Director of Nutrition Services, Nutrition Therapist, Psychotherapist, and Group Therapist. She has been in private practice in Chestnut Hill and Center City Philadelphia since 1995.

Individual sessions

Brave New Self-Care Warrior sessions for people who:

  • Are new to mindfulness and/or new to no-diet self-care

  • Are struggling with emotional eating and/or diet-binge cycle

  • Would like support to develop a kind, trusting relationship with food and their body

Master Self-Care Warrior sessions for people who:

  • Are able to practice mindfulness, attuned eating, and body kindness

  • Would like more support to decrease emotional eating and increase body kindness

  • Would like more support to focus on self-care and what matters most

Group Program:

As a mindfulness meditation teacher and eating disorder specialist, Amy developed The Nourishing Aliveness Group Program over 15 years. The program is:

  • Based on neuroscience, mindfulness, and eating disorder research findings

  • Rooted in Feminist and Self Psychology

  • Informed by Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction program and several mindfulness-based psychotherapies, including Mindful Self-Compassion and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

The program offers ongoing self-care support, a safe place in a mindful supportive community, and a mindful path for resolving food and weight struggles via:
